Review on The Best of Me (Novel by Nicolas Spark) By Vinod Jadhav
My rating: 3.5 (very good)
What's it all about: If its not the first time that you are reading one of the Nicolas Sparks novels, let me tell you. The Best of Me is yet another great romance story by NS with American beaches in the background, an inherited fault in one of the leads, sex and well, the clumsy climax.
What should you expect from it: Romance to the intimidating level, a story with touch of real life and cinematic experience.
It could have been better if: NS could have kept the novel medium in length like most of his works. The concept of spirits seems outworldly. And sadly it leads to the climax.
Why you should read it: If you want to rejuvenate your faith in love once again. Or, better still, if you want to kill some quality time without getting bored.
Why you should not read it: It is the old wine put in new glass. So from the early start we start getting the feeling that its not going to end well.
Finally: You wont regret reading this novel. However, if you prefer a short read, you can read A walk to Remember, The Choice of The Notebook by same author.
